Imagine! God is my hope! Some say getting married, earning a degree, or making a good living is my hope. One of my favorite songs is “Jesus Hope Of the Nations”. Yes, the music is good but the words are so positive. That’s the thing about hope. It’s positive. What we hope for apart from God can be good and positive but what if it doesn’t happen? What then? Does our world come crashing down? You see, hope in God will not disappoint.
The Psalmist said, “No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame” (Psalm 25:3) Just look at why it’s logical to hope in God and not things: * The eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. Psalm 33:18 * We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20 * Those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. Psalm 37:9 * You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word. Psalm 119:114
We can be people of hope because God sees us, is our help and shield, because we will receive from him as a child does from a parent, and because he protects us from everything!
The kind of hope that will not fade over time is the hope we have in a loving caring and all powerful God. If you’re like me, you know that things come and go. They are unpredictable. God is not only predictable, he is dependable. He does not change like things do. He is good today and he will be good tomorrow. We appreciate your Comments
